SELL Privacy Policy

Effective 3 August 2026

(ABN ) operates SELL. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, secure and retain personal information across SELLyourTime and SELLyourItem.

Information we collect

We collect account and verification information such as your name, Australian mobile number, email address, password hash, consent records and security activity. Job seekers may provide career history, skills, location, resumes, cover letters and applications. Companies may provide ABN, contact, profile and recruitment information. Marketplace users may provide listing photos, descriptions, approximate location, messages and transaction-related communications. If you purchase a Special Offer, we keep promotion, price, payment-status and payment-provider reference information; payment-card details are handled by the payment provider rather than stored by SELL. We also collect technical information needed for security, such as IP address, browser information, session records and audit events.

Why we use information

We use information to create and protect accounts; verify mobile numbers; display jobs, companies and listings; process applications; enable messaging, favourites and notifications; prevent fraud and abuse; moderate reports; provide support; comply with legal obligations; and improve platform reliability. Marketing messages are sent only where you have opted in or where otherwise permitted, and you can opt out.

Who receives information

Information is shared only as needed to operate the service. For example, an employer receives information included in an application, and a seller or buyer receives messages you send. We may use contracted hosting, database, email verification, payment processing, security, file-storage, email, monitoring and support providers. These providers must process information for authorised purposes and under appropriate safeguards. We may disclose information when required by law or to protect users, the public or SELL.

Public and private information

Public job advertisements, company profiles and active marketplace listings can be viewed without signing in. Your mobile number is not shown publicly unless you deliberately enable that option for a listing. Resumes are stored privately and may be downloaded only by you, authorised administrators, or a company whose job you applied for. Do not place sensitive personal information in public descriptions or messages unless it is necessary.

Storage, security and overseas providers

SELL uses access controls, encrypted HTTPS connections, secure session cookies, password hashing, rate limits, audit records, private resume storage and account-status checks. Some service providers may store or process information outside Australia. Before launch, the operator must document provider locations, contracts and safeguards. No system is risk-free; report suspected account compromise immediately.

Retention and deletion

We keep information only while it is needed for the service, safety, dispute handling and legal obligations. Expired verification records and sessions are cleaned automatically. When you request account deletion, the account is disabled immediately and queued for deletion after a 30-day recovery period. Associated uploaded files are removed during deletion. Certain limited records may need to be retained where required for legal, fraud-prevention or dispute purposes; the final retention schedule must be approved before launch.

Access, correction and complaints

You can update most account and profile information from your dashboard and export a copy of account data. To request access, correction, deletion assistance or make a privacy complaint, contact . We will verify identity before releasing or changing protected information and will respond within a reasonable period. If you are not satisfied, you may have the right to contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

Data incidents and policy updates

SELL maintains an incident-response process. Where an eligible data breach is likely to cause serious harm, the operator will assess, contain and notify affected individuals and the relevant authority as required. Material policy changes will be dated and communicated through the site or account notification.

This is a production-oriented policy draft. Replace all placeholder business details and obtain Australian legal review before opening public registration.
